Heaven can wait

Heaven can wait just one more

day, there’s still so much for us

to do. They already have so many

angels … why do they need you?

 

Don’t they know you’ve always been

the keeper of my secrets and defender

of my heart. You’ve walked by my

side for all these years … we were

never meant to part.

 

Heaven says you’ve earned your wings

and it’s time for you to fly … but they

can wait at least one more day before

I say goodbye.

 

When tomorrow comes, and I finally

entrust my friend to you, I want all

of heaven to know just how much

he’s truly worth … you see, he’s already,

always been … my faithful guardian

angel, here on earth.
