A crumb from the donut,
a piece of toast,
thats all it takes,
no need to boast
A scratch on the ear,
a pat on the head
a “quiet good doggy”
A walk in the park,
a ride in the car,
No need to go fast,
no need to go far.
Always there,
happy and content.
A tried and true friendship
no need to invent.
