I’m going on a journey that I must take alone.
It pains me so to leave you and this warm and loving
home.
But first I want to thank you for making life so
sweet,
For all the love and toys, clean water, food and
treats.
Life wasn’t always good for me. In fact, it was the
worst.
Till you saved me from the puppy mill and soothed the
years of hurts.
You gave me such a happy life, more than I could have
dreamed.
I thought I’d always live here. At least that’s how it
seemed.
But the years flew by and I grew old. And now it’s
time to leave.
So I give you all my love to hold and beg you not to
grieve.
I’ll not stray far away from you. I’ll be just over
the golden ridge.
On that day you come to join me, I’ll be waiting at
The Bridge.
