My dog’s paw

We saw a sign at our local vet.

“Please take me home. I’ll be your pet!”

This little dog sat on bits of straw.

We saw that he had hurt his paw.

We brought him home but he couldn’t crawl.

We wrapped his paw in our mother’s shawl.

When we unwrapped his little paw,

He used his paw to scratch his jaw.

Now who can jump up?

Now who can crawl?

Our little dog will come when we call.
