Missing you (The empty space here on my bed)

What am I supposed to do about the empty space here on my bed?
And what about this special pillow where you used to lay your head?
What about all these squeak toys that got on my nerves all the time?
I wish you were still here to chew them that would be soothing to these ears of mine.

And what about this food bowl? For years it’s been here on the floor.
I can't bring myself to put it away; my heart is just way too torn!
I messed up today as I went outside. It really was a shame.
I am so used to you going out with me; I actually called out your name.

Even the mailman is missing you. He stopped by on his route today.
Said he noticed the window was empty in that favorite spot where you laid.
Even he got teary eyed. Sometimes your name he would call.
I guess that's proof right there that you really were loved by all!

Lost is the way I feel right now. I never knew I could feel this bad.
It was the hardest thing I've ever done, letting go of the best friend I had.
The memories we had are so special and the pictures are way too few.
If I could have but ONE prayer answered, it would be ONE MORE DAY WITH YOU!
