The rescue tree

Roots of caring, driven hearts
Strong selfless people each doing their part

Calling, testing, checking, pull
Another crisis, everyon’s full

Coming together, spreading around
Hoping in time a home will be found

Branches, each limb crucial to the task
I hoping the pieces will fall in place at last

Reaching, saving, helping, trying
Sometimes failing, often crying

Even strong limbs break under the strain
Other leaves, limbs there to soften the pain

Grow again, feel the sun
Unburden yourself; look at all you have done

Dring up the light, let go the strife
Know you made a differnce by saving a life
