Neuer Name fürs Haustierregister des Deutschen Tierschutzbundes: FINDEFIX

Das „Deutsche Haustierregister des Deutschen Tierschutzbundes“ heißt ab sofort „FINDEFIX“. Auf der neuen Webseite können Halter ihre Tiere registrieren, vermisst melden oder nach vermissten Tieren in der eigenen Umgebung suchen. Das Haustierregister präsentiert sich aber nicht nur unter einem neuen Namen, sondern bietet auch einen optimierten und erweiterten Service – und zwar nach wie vor kostenfrei. Seit mehr als 35 Jahren hilft der Deutsche Tierschutzbund mit diesem Service bei der Rückvermittlung von Haustieren. Damit ist FINDEFIX das älteste Angebot dieser Art in Deutschland und das einzige Register, das von einer gemeinnützigen Tierschutzorganisation geführt wird.

"Tote Hunde e.V." ist eine Ende 2013 gegründete Gemeinschaft, die es sich zur Aufgabe macht, bundesweit unbekannte überfahrene und tot aufgefundene Hunde zu identifizieren und ihrem Halter zuzuordnen.

Der Europäische Gerichtshof (EuGH) hat 2014 entschieden, dass im Regelfall keine Urheberrechte verletzt werden, wenn Website-Betreiber sogenannte framende Links setzen. Dies geschieht zum Beispiel, wenn YouTube-Videos auf einer Internetseite eingebunden werden. 

In 2014 the European Court of Justice (ECJ) decided that normally no copyrights are violated if website operators use so-called framed links. This happens for example when YouTube videos on a website are included.

Every time I love a dog

It came to me that every time I love a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.

He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.

An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks.

Curious I pinned a note to his collar: 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'

The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar: 'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?'

If when you look at me

If when you look at me, you only see a white face and cloudy eyes, a burden or a hassle … you have missed out on the best part of me. I am loving, loyal protective and kind. You are my one and only and my tail will wag for you up until my last breath. As a senior, I have been with you long enough to know what you want without a word being said. I know when you are happy, I know when you are sad, I know when you need me to place a paw on you. I know when you snuggle up to me and your heartbeat speeds up, it’s because you are fighting back tears as you see what years have done to my body. But inside I am still just a puppy content with your love and your shelter. Love me until the very end for I am a gift. With each wag of my tail, I will say thank you!
