Wichtige Informationen / Important information:

This blog is not only a collection for all of you who, like me, love poems, texts and simply everything about dogs, it is also intended to give recognition to all authors and artists who with their work give us great pleasure, sometimes solace and who also want to open our eyes to the abuse and neglect of animals.

A Cavalier at Christmas

A Cavalier at Christmas, such a wonderful sight to see,
A cavalier that gives lots of love to you and to me.
For on the day we celebrate a birth so wonderful and true
We have our sweet little cavaliers to cuddle up to.

Their softness and their beauty are as wonderful as can be
And its easy to understand that love we feel when a cavalier sits on your knee.

There is nothing quite as special as their soft black nose and big round eyes that glow, and its wonderful to watch their tail as the feathers in them flow.

Their gracefulness and look is something to behold,
for these cute little dogs are always very bold.

And in the climate where there is snow these cavaliers with a full coat will gladly go.
But in the place where the sun is out and days are filled with heat,
There is nothing they like better than on the beach, a seat.

And when its time to unwrap the gifts and hear the laughter and fun, in the middle of it all will be a cavalier on the run. They will crab with joy the paper and throw it all
around, and rip it all to shreds so no more can be found.

Once the food is ready they sit quietly by your feet, hoping oh just hoping that maybe they can taste the pudding that smells so very sweet.

They look at you with eyes so large and round and you find your self completely spellbound. Before you know it they are enjoying a treat, and the look on their face you can never beat.
One can’t help but giggle at the thought of Christmas day, and just knowing that your cavalier will be beside you enjoying this very special day.
