A message from the bridge

I am no longer hurting

My eyes again are clear

I did not want to leave you

But there is no sadness here

Daily I am pampered

By the angels at the gate

They praise the quiet patience

With which for you I wait

I cannot wait to tell you

Now I am able to speak

How very much I'm grateful

For your strength when I was weak

The way that you forgave me

Each time I did mistake

Your things for chewy play toys

Or your dinner I did take

I long to say my thank you

To make sure that you know

You really made a difference

Though it didn't always show

Your time and love weren't wasted

On this baby dressed in fur

None could have loved me better

Of that you can be sure

I am waiting here to greet you

As I did when I was there

But I'm whole and young and healthy

As I was when in your care

We are playing with the angels

While I listen for your voice

And when you come to join me

Earth will hear us both rejoice
