I speak for myself.

I speak for my foster dog.

You know who you are.

So do I.

 

You, Mr. Abuser.

With your brutally savage hands.

With your purposefully cruel starvation tactics.

You know who you are.

So do I.

 

You, Mr. Indifferent.

With your "I'm too busy" ways.

You, who does not want to see what is in front of you.

You know who you are.

So do I.

 

You, Mr. Intentional.

With your determined slow-witted ways.

You create the problem and then act stunned at the results.

You know who you are.

So do I.

 

Mr. Abuser. Mr. Indifferent. Mr. Intentional.

I am disgusted and weary of cleaning

Up your destruction.

You are the reason I am so agonizingly intimate

With the Rainbow Bridge.

 

But, I will continue to follow

Behind you to clean up the despair you cause.

Because each life you leave behind in your path of destruction,

Each life you throw away,

Is a priceless miracle in my life.
